If non-surgical treatments like physical therapy, medication and injections don’t bring relief from knee pain, Dr. Chandrasekaran may recommend surgery. Surgery may involve keyhole surgery (called knee arthroscopy) to treatment damaged tendons, ligaments or muscles or, if there is more extensive damage, a knee replacement. The knee replacement may be a partial or total knee replacement depending on the extent of the damage. Dr. Chandrasekaran and his team use advanced surgical technologies and rehabilitation techniques to minimise pain and optimise early return to day to day activities following knee operations.
